The transformation of Tintagel House, the former Metropolitan Police headquarters on Albert Embankment, created 9,000sqm of flexible office and co-working space within the existing 12-storey building.

A major part of the redevelopment was opening the previously inward-looking building to its surroundings. At the rear, new communal spaces connect directly with a landscaped riverside garden, creating a green setting for the building and providing opportunities for informal meetings, relaxation and outdoor working alongside the Thames.

At roof level, previously underused service areas were transformed into shared social spaces, including a panoramic bar and a new rooftop garden and terrace. Together, the riverside and rooftop gardens introduce landscape at both the base and summit of the building, strengthening its relationship with the river and providing valuable outdoor spaces within a dense urban setting.
